Since its inception in 1987, the J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study has served as the standard for gauging the quality of new vehicles–or lack thereof.

The study highlights quality differences across model years and brands and dictates which vehicle models stand out amongst the pack for the most problem-free experiences behind the wheel.

And this year, Ford has blown the competition away by becoming the most awarded brand in the J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Initial Quality Study. Four of Ford’s vehicles have been named best in their segments for initial quality.

The Undisputed Champion: The 2025 Ford F-150
