Happy in a Hybrid Powertrain

The 2026 Ford Maverick is powered by a hybrid 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine assisted by an electric motor, producing a combined 191 horsepower. However, for an extra boost of power, drivers can opt for the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, which offers 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. 

When you’re trying to choose between a hybrid and a gas-powered engine, what’s the deciding factor? It all comes down to towing capacity and payload. 

For both powertrain options, the Maverick offers 1,500 pounds of payload and 2,000 pounds of towing capacity. Not enough? Don’t worry! With the optional Tow package equipped, you can tow up to 4,000 pounds!
