When the pavement ends, most vehicles are forced to a standstill, looking ahead to the off-road adventure that lies just out of reach. However, where the asphalt ends is where the new Ford Bronco Sport begins.

An off-road compact SUV that closely resembles the now-discontinued Ford Escape, the Ford Bronco Sport for 2026 offers serious enhancements to build on its off-road prowess. From a new package option to the choice between two turbocharged engines, the Ford Bronco Sport is ready to show compact SUVs what happens when pavement turns to terrain.

What’s New for the 2026 Ford Bronco Sport?

After gaining several new features last year, including a larger 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen, more standard driver-assist features, and the addition of the Sasquatch Package, the biggest addition to the lineup for 2026 is the available Bronze Package.

The Bronze package will showcase a variety of bronze elements on the outside and within the cabin. Drivers and passersby will immediately notice the 17-inch bronze-painted aluminum wheels and the bronze “Bronco” lettering on the ebony-black grille. Inside the cabin, drivers will appreciate the small bronze details, from the bronze stitching on the seats and steering wheel to the bronze accents on the cargo mat.

Off-Road Power Meets Interior Elegance: Features on the New Ford Bronco Sport

Standard all-wheel drive, turbocharged engine options, and a spacious interior are just some of the features that await behind the wheel of the Ford Bronco Sport, each delivering performance and practicality that rival the competition.

Engine & Performance

An off-road performer needs the power to back it up, and in the case of the Ford Bronco Sport, you have two mighty choices: the 1.5-liter EcoBoost and the 2.0-liter EcoBoost.

The turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine delivers a dynamic 180 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque. For those who require more adrenaline-fueled performance, drivers can opt for the increased power of the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which delivers an impressive 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque.

The difference between performing and performing well comes down to your vehicle’s off-road technology – and the Ford Bronco Sport has that in spades.

An available advanced 4×4 with twin clutch rear-drive can work in tandem with G.O.A.T Modes, terrain-focused tech that adapts to your environment. Choose from one of five standard modes to tackle the outside world with ease: Normal, ECO, Sport, Slippery, and Off-Road. The Bronco Sport Badlands model offers two additional modes: Rock Crawl and Rally.

Other performance technology features include:

  • Trail 1-Pedal driving
  • Ford Trail Control
  • Bilstein shocks
  • Locking rear differential
  • Trail and Split view camera
  • Steel skid plates

Ford Bronco Sport Interior & Tech

Rugged elegance is what awaits inside the 2026 Ford Bronco Sport. With seating up to five, adventure is built for the entire family – or the lucky few friends you choose to bring along for the ride.

Drivers will enjoy the variety of seating materials available, with options ranging from easy-to-clean cloth to premium and leather-trimmed seating. For a more vintage aesthetic, drivers can opt for the plaid cloth bucket seats that pay homage to the longstanding spirit and heart of the Bronco.

The Ford Bronco Sport’s interior tech reminds us that half the joy of adventure lies in the journey. The 12.3-inch cluster display is sharp and vibrant, letting you customize it freely. A welcome addition from last year is the 13.2-inch center display, which showcases apps, music, and maps with the touch of a button.

Other notable tech features include:

  • 10-speaker Bang & OlufsenÆ sound system with subwoofer
  • Integrated USB-powered accessory tray
  • Pre-wired auxiliary switches to install Ford Bronco Sport accessories
  • Rubberized cargo flooring
  • 360-degree camera with trail view
